See if a monthly plan fits
A monthly plan can fit when you make videos often. You need files ready to edit, dates to work toward, and time to check each cut. The editor gets to know your channel as you keep working together. Each new video can build on what worked in the last one.
If you are still choosing what to make, first list what you can film. An editor needs footage to work with. You will also need to answer questions and approve the final cut. Choose a pace you can keep up, from filming through the last review.
Give us a clear first brief
A brief is a short note that tells us what to make. Start with a normal video from your channel. Explain who will watch and what they should get from it. Send a video you like, too. Point to the parts you like so we know what you mean.
Keep the brief with your files. Each plan has space to store them and a board to track the work. Mark the shots that must stay. Add any names, facts, or sponsor lines we need to check. Choose one person to send the final set of notes.
- Pick a video like the ones you make each month.
- Share a style example and say which part you like.
- Send the photos, logos, and other files the edit needs.
- Choose who will check and approve the cut.
Give notes the editor can use again
Put the time in the video next to each note. Explain the reason for the change. “Keep this pause so the joke works” tells us more than “undo the cut.” Your editor can learn from that note and use it on the next video.
Check the facts first, then the style. A wrong name needs a fix. A slow opening may need a different shot or a shorter setup. Our plans include unlimited revisions, which means changes to the edit with no extra revision fee. Clear notes help us know what to change.
Plan the work and the dates together
Starter includes three full videos per month. Creator includes four full videos, 10–15 Shorts, and A/B thumbnails. These are cover images with different designs to compare. Empire lists unlimited editing, A/B thumbnails, and everyday Shorts. See the pricing page for the full costs and plan details.
List when you can send files, when you need a first cut, and when you want to post. Leave time to review and ask for changes. Creator lists 48-hour priority turnaround. Empire lists 24-hour priority turnaround. Check what those times cover for your video before you set the dates.
- How much raw footage needs to be watched?
- Which edits need to move at the same time?
- Does the agreed date cover a first cut or a final file?
- What should happen if new footage or notes arrive late?
Plan a repeatable month of editing
A subscription works best when there is a steady source of footage and one person responsible for approving edits. Sketch your next four weeks before choosing a plan: recording dates, handoff dates, review windows and publish dates. Include time for your feedback, not just the editor’s work.
If footage arrives in one large batch at the end of the month, a monthly plan does not remove the production bottleneck. Discuss queue capacity, the meaning of priority turnaround and how revisions fit into delivery before subscribing.
- Monday: hand off the recording, brief and supporting assets.
- Review window: one decision-maker collects timestamped notes.
- Before publishing: approve the final export, title and thumbnail together.
